Mission:

A network of interfaith welcoming organizations promoting:

• Dialogue within the faith community on the inclusion of all persons regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity;
• Education about being and becoming a welcoming faith community, and;
• Support of existing and future welcoming communities.

Objectives:

1. Guide ministries through the process of becoming welcoming.
2. Serve as a resource for ministries interested in becoming welcoming to all people.
3. Provide outreach to faith ministries about the importance of being welcoming through education.
4. Provide support for welcoming faith leaders through networking opportunities.
5. Advocate and maintain visibility for LGBTQ issues within the broader Kansas City metropolitan faith community.
6. Maintain a forum for dialogue and collaboration between welcoming faith ministries through networking and communication.
7. Act as the public face and voice regarding LGBTQ issues among the metropolitan Kansas City community.
8. Educate the broader community about faith ministry options and alternatives.
9. Initiate conversation within the faith community concerning welcoming ministries.
